PlaceMolly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream
Molly Moon Neitzel founded the business in 2008, and the first shop opened that year in Wallingford [1]. Madrona followed in May 2011 [1]. Queen Anne came in September 2011, where children were handed free scoops on opening day [1]. A fifth shop opened downtown in June [1]. In 2014 the company built small parks outside the Wallingford and Madrona shops through Seattle's pilot parklet program [1]. Redmond gained a shop in 2016, and Columbia City one in 2017 [1]. For the company's tenth anniversary in 2018, shops gave free scoops to the first hundred customers [1]. A ninth shop, in downtown Edmonds, arrived in summer 2023 [1]. Eater Seattle put Molly Moon's on a 2021 list of good places in the city for ice cream and gelato [1].
