StretchI-5 — Quil Ceda Village to Everett
A stretch of Interstate 5 runs between Quil Ceda Village and Everett, part of the one route among the Interstates that crosses Washington's full length, north to south. Quil Ceda Village is a municipality set up by the Tulalip Tribes, and inside it sit the Tulalip casino resort and an outlet mall that opened in 2005, Seattle Premium Outlets. South of the village, the freeway follows the boundary between Marysville and the Tulalip Indian Reservation, then crosses Ebey Slough, the BNSF Railway and the sloughs of the Snohomish River estuary before spanning the Snohomish River into Everett, the seat of Snohomish County. The 3. 5 miles between Everett and Marysville over the delta were the final section of I-5, opened on May 14, 1969, several months late because of delayed steel work on the Snohomish River bridge.
