The story starts in 1916, when an inn of eight rooms went up under the name Snoqualmie Falls Lodge, meant as a rest stop for people crossing the pass [1]. Its breakfast, then called the Farm Breakfast, made it well known, and those who finished the whole thing got a Snoqualmie Breakfast Club card [1]. An article in 1986 told readers a renovation was coming, one that would bring a luxury hotel and restaurant when the place reopened in 1988 [1]. The Salish restaurant came back in 1987, before the hotel was finished [1]. At the 1988 reopening the lodge had 91 rooms complete with running water, and the Farm Breakfast took the name Country Breakfast, the four course menu unchanged [1]. A rooftop hot tub came with the remodel, and a spa later took its place [1]. The building served as the setting for Twin Peaks [1]. In 2018 a $12 million renovation brought it to 86 guestrooms [1]. On November 1st, 2019, the Snoqualmie Tribe announced it had acquired the lodge and the acreage beside it [1].
