accesso ShoWare Center
Sal is a voice that rides along as you drive Washington's roads: the road ahead, the pass, the stories of the places you pass.
Construction started in September 2007, and the building's first event came on January 3, 2009, a hockey game in which the Seattle Thunderbirds beat the Everett Silvertips 4-3 [1]. Brenden Silvester of the Thunderbirds scored the arena's first goal that night, in the second period [1]. Greg Scott recorded its first hat trick about a month later [1]. Amiga, Inc. bought the naming rights first, then did not deliver the down payment it had pledged, and the rights were gone by August 2007 [1]. VisionOne, a software firm from Fresno, then took the rights in November 2008 and named the place after ShoWare, its box office program [1]. Accesso bought VisionOne in 2014 and gave the arena its own name in the fall of 2017 [1]. The venue covers roughly 150,000 square feet and seats 5,887, or 7,141 when the retractable seating comes out [1].
