Sal is a voice that rides along as you drive Washington's roads: the road ahead, the pass, the stories of the places you pass.
French Field sits in Kent, Washington, a suburb southeast of Seattle, and it opened in 1982 beside Kent-Meridian High School [1]. It serves as a multi-purpose stadium, and the high schools that use it for football, soccer and track are Kent-Meridian, Kentlake, Kentridge and Kentwood [1]. The Seattle Majestics, who play women's professional football in the Women's National Football Conference, are based there [1]. The King County Jaguars, a semi-professional club in the North American Football League, once called it home as well [1]. Community organizations such as the Kent Youth Soccer Association put the field to use, and the Kent School District holds its younger students' track and other sporting events on it [1]. The running track is left available to the general public, and Kent-Meridian also uses the field for its physical education classes [1].
