The lodge that built this hall had a rough start. Masons in Fall City began pushing for a lodge in 1889, and the first meeting happened in 1890 in a room above Taylor's store on River Street. They met on the Saturday nearest the full moon, since traveling at night was hard going, which made them what was called a Moon Lodge. Then a fire took the store in September 1894, along with the charter, records and regalia. In March 1895 the members voted to build a new lodge room at once. The hall was finished that December, with much of the labor donated. For insurance, the cost was listed at $500. The first meeting there came in January 1896. [1]
